Justs - Latvia's 2016 ESC entry!

That was the super saturday of the year? Which decisions were great and what country can improve their decisions in the upcoming years? In this ESC Diary entry I'll deal with the results of this super saturday!

To begin, I'm still very excited about most of the decisions this weekend and I was celebrating every national selection! Weekends full of Eurovision thing are going by the fastest and monday is around the corner :/ Let's cheer up our mood, by looking back at the shows of the weekend and the next shows are coming soon \o/

I had Joe & Jake as my favorite in my review, but I actually never thought about that they could win in the UK!

I couldn't watch the national final, as I was in the evening school and we wrote an exam the past friday, so I just looked at my phone as I do this about 1000 times during the evening school and wasn't expecting anything, so the more I was surprised when I saw the tweet, that Joe & Jake won the national final! That was an amazing news to begin the weekend and I'm still happy about this decision! UK did the right decision!!! <3

Can't wait to see this years UK entry in Stockholm!!!

In #melfest this weekend we got the most obvious result of the 4 semi-finals. It was already clear before the show, that Molly and Frans are going to the final. Only the places behind them were the one to decide! In the second chance round we got Dolly Style and Panetoz! I'll do a #Melfest post during this week with all the performances of this years show! Frans is now also the hot favorite to in #Melfest! What do you think? What would the best choice in Sweden?

A Dal 2016 - the hungarian national selection came to an end this saturday with my favorit Freddie winning the competition! <3

Let's say he was kinda the overall favorite to win, but I'm sooo happy, that he really won! He has the voice, the look and the perfect song this year! #BestHungarianEntryEver!!!

I'm so happy with Hungary this year and you'll totally find Freddie in my Top this year <3 #CongratsHungary

As usual in many national selections I also did one for the norwegian Melodi Grand Prix 2016 HERE!

First we had the 10 acts performing and then we got the best 4 songs based on televoting in the Top 4! Same Top 4 as in my review ;) #NailedIt #DidntPlacedABet

As my Top 4 were all kinda close and high in my review I was very happy with the Superfinal! But then even my review winner, became the winner of MGP on saturday! Agnete will represent Norway in Stockholm with Icebreaker! She also had the best performance this evening! #GoodChoiceNorway

Really happy with Agnete winning in Norway and hope her Eurovision performance will be as good as the performance in MGP!

The last big national final this weekend with one of my favorites winning was Latvia!

I'm still so happy, that Justs will represent Latvia in Stockholm with his song "Heartbeat"! The song is amazing, he has a brilliant voice and it was just the best choice of Latvia! The song was written by last years entry of Latvia, Aminata!

Welcome back Aminata, but this year as composer and welcome to the big stage, Justs! I also hear many people in the Eurovision world talking about the possibility of #Riga2017! I wouldn't say no to that :D

Sure, there were also national finals with my favorites not winning... wasn't really following the national selection in Moldova, but they chosed Lidia Isac with her song Falling Stars! It's a decent schlager song and could reach the final in this years Eurovision :) In Finland I was surprised in a bad way, 'cos I was quite sure, that Saara Aalto would win UMK16, but in the end Sandhja won with Sing It Away! The song is good, but I think there were much better options in Finland this year.

This was the ESC Diary for this week! During the week I'll do the huge #Melfest post with all entries and on Saturday I'll do a post with the favorites of the second chance round! We'll also get the russian song next saturday and sooooo much more will happen during the week!!!
