Review -> Melodifestivalen 2016 - Semi 3
2/20/2016It's saturday again and it's after 14 CET, which means that I need to take a look at this weeks semi-final of Melodifestivalen! Again, amazing songs! Don't forget to follow our live ticker of the semi-final HERE!
After the 30 sec. snippets I was a bit worried about this weeks semi-final, but after the 2:30 versions (you can listen to them HERE) I'm totally in love with this weeks semi-final! It's a huge party this week! The only song that you could describe as a ballad is "Human" by Oscar Zia! It's a very strong ballad. It's between ballad and mid-tempo :) But lets take a look at my ranking for this week:
FINAL
Oscar Zia – Human (Ranking after the 2:30 version -> 94/100)
SaRaha – Kizunguzungu (Ranking after the 2:30 version -> 91/100)
SECOND CHANCE
Lisa Ajax – My heart wants me dead (Ranking after the 2:30 version -> 87/100)
After Dark – Kom ut som en stjärna (Ranking after the 2:30 version -> 85/100)
OUT
Boris René – Put your love on me (Ranking after the 2:30 version -> 83/100)
SMILO - Weight of the world (Ranking after the 2:30 version -> 82/100)
Swingfly feat. Helena Gutarra – You carved your name (Ranking after the 2:30 version -> 78/100)
Oscar Zia - (c) SVT |
The "Yes We Can"-Singer of 2014 is returning and dedicated his this years entry "Human" to his recent coming out. It's about that we're all human and that you should live without prejudice. He's totally my favorite this week as he's a great singer and the song is a total power song! I think the performance will be less than in 2014, but it'll look gorgeous on stage with him singing that amazing song!
SaRaha - (c) SVT |
My second favorite for tonight is more like a surprise for me, as I don't knew her before, but her song is such a perfect feel-good-song with an amazing rhythm. Kinda reminds me of "Haba Haba (NOR 2011), but in a very good way. Yesterday she won the audience pool of the rehearsal, which means, that she'll be amazing on stage tonight and everything is possible.
This is what the audience rehearsal poll looked like after the rehearsal yesterday:
SaRaha – ”Kizunguzungu”: 39% (235 röster)
Oscar Zia – ”Human”: 26% (159 röster)
Lisa Ajax – ”My heart wants me dead”: 12% (73 röster)
Swingfly feat. Helena Gutarra – ”You carved your name”: 12% (48 röster)
Boris René – ”Put your love on me”: 7% (40 röster)
Smilo – ”Weight of the world”: 8% (29 röster)
After Dark – ”Kom ut som en stjärna”: 3% (16 röster)
I think a lot is possible tonight. In the final should be SaRaha and Oscar in my opinion so far, but the other placings are wide open. Everything depends on the performance and how they will connect with the audience. Good luck to everyone <3
