This year Melodifestivalen was really special! In three parts I'll tell you everything that went down in Stockholm :) This is part one!

To start with the beginning... this year was my very first Melodifestivalen to really be in the arena. I'm watching it since 2006 and it's always my highlight of the year together with Eurovision!

It all started when I arrived on thursday. The day started early at like 3:30 to get ready and to get to Hamburg. I landed in Stockholm around 12pm. It was cold and snow everywhere. The girl next to me on the plane was wearing flip-flops... I was wondering, if she was on the right plane :D

Stockholm is beautiful during every season of the year so the cold wasn't bothering me. After checking in in the hostel I was already on my way to the arena for some super exciting rehearsals. It was my first time ever to attend a rehearsal except for the dress rehearsals the night before a Eurovision live show. So I should have been tired, but I was just too excited about everything.

As you may know, I'm not the best at finding stuff, so I thought I already know Stockholm, but as it was my first time going to Friends Arena (which is amazing btw), I first had to find the way and entry and everything :D Nevertheless, I arrived at the rehearsals around 15 o'clock. Right in time for Song No. 5 rehearsing. Jon Henrik & Aninia <3 I was kinda sad, that I missed Robin as he was rehearsing before them, but I was just blown away by the arena and watching the rehearsals, that there was no time to be sad. I also just arrived and there were many times I saw Robin, so need to be sad about not seeing his rehearsal. I'm pretty sure it was amazing. Note to myself... next time I have to arrive earlier!

Amazing Melfest stage <3

Everybody was super nice and this day really couldn't have any better! Every artist had time to perform their song three times. With some breaks the rehearsals were on till ~ 22 o'clock. I was tired but very happy about the whole day. I thought it couldn't get better, but it was getting better and better! Check back later for parts 2 and 3.
