Nu kör vi!!! (ESC Diary 04/2016)

Yesterday was like the first super saturday of the ESC season 2016 with no country choosing an entry but many semi-finals taking part in whole Europe <3

There were quite a few surprises, but also results that were exactly the way I thought they would be or I hoped they would be ^.^

Lets start with my favorite national final! Melodifestivalen <3

I just realized, that it's been 10 years since I started watching it and that it became next to my family, friends and Eurovision the most important part of my life! <3

In #Melfest was the result yesterday exactly they way we hoped it would end and as we predicted the outcome HERE. #ShouldDoSomeBetsTheNextTime! In the final are now, as the first, finalists Ace Wilder with her song "Don't Worry" and Robin Bengtsson with "Constellation Price".

Ace and Robin celebrating! <3 - (c) Eurovision.tv

As SVT doesn't allowes the finalists to get uploaded on Youtube till all the songs are released, we can check out the songs that we predict to get to the second chance round and also got into that round!

Samir & Viktor opened the show with their feel-good song "Bada nakna" and yes, that means "naked swimming" :D They were also a hot contender for the final, but only made it to the second chance round! But I'm pretty sure, that they will get to the final through this round! Hint -> #ShirtlessAtTheEnd <3

Also in the second chance round are Albin & Mattias! Who performed their song "Rik" (Rich). I'm not that into rapping (Albins part) but I sooooo love Mattias' voice <3 Sooo happy they made it at least into the second chance round and I'm so looking forward to their performance there :)

As mentioned in our review of the first semi final, Anna Book was disqualified, because her song was part of the moldovian national selection in 2014 and therefore broke the rules! Nevertheless she performed yesterday as an interval act and also said, that we'll see her in #Melfest 2017! Her performance of "Himml för två" was great and deserves to get mentioned ;) #LovedIt

Greta Salóme performing - (c) eurovision.tv

Iceland made a shocking result as Sigga failed to qualify to the final yesterday even though her performance was flawless <3 She still can get choosen as a wildcard! *fingers crossed*

Who made it to the final (and it seems she is a huge contender for the win in Iceland) is Greta Salóme (pricture above/video below) with her song "Raddirnar". Her performance remeinds me a bit of Måns feat. Loreen, but it looks great on screen and the song is awesome! Deserved to get to the final!

Finnish winners - eurovision.tv
Here are the winners from the semi-final in Finland! On the left is Krista (host in Finland) who will try to get in the final in Sweden next week! Best of luck for that Krista <3 She made us all falling in love with her when she performed "Marry Me" for Finland at the ESC 2013! #TeamDingDong

We NEEEEED to mention Saara Aalto as one of the qualifiers in Finland! Her performance is amazing and her song is so amazing! She is a great singer and I would love to see her for Finland! #NoFear

You see, a lot happened yesterday, but now you know some of the most important things from the Eurovision universe and don't need to worry about, that you might have missed something ;)

What do you think about all the songs/qualifiers/performances? Can't wait till the next shows next saturday! Btw Latvia will have their first national selection show tonight! Here are two songs from Latvia to look forward to <3

GET READY GUYS <3
