Eurovision fans hoped year for year, that Sergey Lazarev would represent Russia in the Eurovision Song Contest! On thursday it was finally announced, that he'll represent his country in 2016 and we LOVE IT!!!

During the Russian National Music Awards, where he won the award for "Singer Of The Year", it was announced, that Sergey Lazarev will represent Russia at the Eurovision Song Contest in Stockholm! The last male act from Russia was in 2011... so it was time to get some male performer action for Russia!


He tried to represent Russia in 2008, but lost to Dima Bilan who went to Belgrade for the first russian victory!


Will Sergey be able to bring home the second russian win next year? Last year we said, that Russia would slay with him and the songwriter of his song including Philipp Kirkorov show, that Russia really want to get this win!


This year they got a deserved second place in Vienna and I'm totally in for a second Russian win next year! As a fan of Sergey since 2008 I can't wait to see him on the ESC stage!
