Super Saturday -> 18.02.2017
2/19/2017Robin made it to the final of #Melfest! (c) SVT |
Sweden
Melodifestivalen heat 3 was on last night and it was once again a brilliant show! Really strong songs and an open race for the places in the final!First, I was super happy, that Robin made it to the final! I was really nervous, because we had so many strong entries and Melfest is always ready for a surprise! He did a brilliant performance and "I can't go on" is a fantastic song. Both the performance and the song will be available, like all the finalists, after the fourth semi next saturday!
FO&O were the huge faves in my eyes, as they are super popular in Sweden and I really thought they would easily make it to the final! Unfortunately Owe Thörnqvist took that final spot, who came last in my ranking and 5th in the audience poll from friday! So, big surprise here!
FO&O went to the second chance round together with Anton! Bella & Filippa finished 5th, Jasmine 6th and sadly Krista 7th! She deserved so much more, as her song is flawless and her performance powerful, but as it was a very strong semi, someone has to come last, I guess :/
All the entries that didn't made it to the final should be available on iTunes and Spotify soon. Here is a playlist where all the entries are added! Might take some time till they are available in your country, if you're not from Sweden. But as soon as they're available, you can listen to them in that playlist HERE! You can also watch the performances of all non-finalists HERE! The finalists will be added with all the performances from the fourth semi next sunday!
Estonia
The second heat of Eesti Laul took place yesterday! My faves Laura and Kiot made it to the final with "Verona" together with Kerli (also super entry), Daniel Levi (love it), Liis and Rasmus! You can check all the performances of both heats over HERE! Estonia always delivers a great national selection, so it's always worth it to watch the performances. And let's see who will represent them. I think Kerli might have the best chances to win Eesti Laul.
Hungary
Freddie who represented Hungary last year, is my favorite Hungarian entry ever... So I already thought the represantive for 2017 can't really be any better. Jaci Pápai won the national final (A Dal) with "Origo" yesterday! The song is really interesting and I really think it might get to the final, but it's not getting me at the moment! For the moment I'd give it a 68/100 rating. You can watch the performance HERE. The best thing about the A Dal final yesterday way, that Freddie performed "Pioneer" and his new song "Ez a vihar" with an orchestra! You need to check this out <3
Poland
Kasia Mos will represent Poland this year with her ballad (surprise :D) "Flashlight"! As far as I know, was this the fan favorite, so after last years meltdown, most of the fans and the audience is happy about this choice. Her vocals are on point. Still I think, that the ballad is not the strongest and if we get more and more ballads, this might struggle to get to the final. For now I would give "Flashlight" a 65/100 rating after the first listen!Check it out and tell me what you think :)
Malta
Beautiful Malta (where I'm going to for vacation next week <3) had their national final yesterday and after trying for years and years Claudia Faniello, the little sister of Fabrizio, won the national final in Malta and will now represent Malta in Kyiv with "Breathlessly". Another ballad, but this is a powerful ballad, you would want from Malta! With Claudia as great singer this could really sail into the final. After the first listen I would rate it with 69/100. Really looking forward to see this on stage in Kyiv!Check it out!
This were the major things, that happened yesterday! Now we have 13 of 43 songs and I start thinking about making my Top 10! Really looking forward to the next songs.
